Exposure : The Thiviers Ceramics
In 1789 the Dubourdieu pottery manufactured 4 to 5000 pieces renowned for the beauty of their enamel: the nineteenth century, the "Thiviers red" was particularly famous. In 1907, this pottery disappeared but Desmarthon factory established in 1853 continued its production until about 1929 (such as pots that contained the balm of Veuve Farnier).
